Our Story
The heart-beat of Woolloomooloo
The Tilbury was once a classic watering hole for the harbourside working-class of Sydney servicing Cowper Wharf. Dark and smoky, with a simplistic offering of gambling, cold beer and the odd Cabaret. The Tilbury has since been comprehensively refitted and redesigned in 2002 and again in 2016. Located in the inner-city suburb of Woolloomooloo, which presently balances the encroaching influence of high end, high glamour development against an established urban character based around medium-density social housing. Amazingly creative and delicious food with a Japanese touch. Our favourites were Lobster rolls, Hokkaido scallop ceviche and barramundi with tobiko & kikurage (black fungi).

What a great pub. Took a large group of 30 people and they smashed it. Great food and service was outstanding. Best on ground was Masie who was outstanding. Highly recommend.
